Rogers, author of Paul Bunyan, How A Terrible Timber Feller
Became A Legend, grew up in the lumbering region of Michigan's
Northwoods and later served as City Editor and Chief Editorial
Writer for The Bay City (Michigan) Times. Rogers received the
award of Distinguished Reporting of Public Affairs from the
American Political Science Association, The Associated Press
First Place Award of Excellence for State Breaking News and
the United Press International Fist Place Award for State
Feature Writing. His published works include a second book
about the Lumbering era, titled: The Lumberman's Gazette:
America's First Lumber Journal. |
